Review: LOVE'S CULTURE

LOVE'S CULTURE
LOVE'S CULTURE by Angelia Vernon Menchan

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Being Muslim, I truly enjoyed this storyline. The story revolves about two characters, Mahad and Sadia. Mahad is a Muslim man who knows what he wants and will stop at nothing to get it even if that means defying his father’s wishes. Sadia is an African American woman business owner who is not sure if she can move out what is common and venture into a relationship with the unknown. Nonetheless, the chemistry between the two is explosive.

The author does an excellent job of combining the cultural differences and how when love is at stake, sometimes you have to throw caution to the wind and go for it. Not everyone will like your decision so you have to be willing to accept that.

I also enjoyed how the author described some of the sensual scenes in this quick read. When Mahad spoke to Sadia about the things he wanted to do to her, whew! Get some ice water and quick. It was definitely foreplay for the mind.

Although a short story, Ms. Menchan developed the characters in a way you can relate to especially since they were embarking on an interracial relationship. The story flowed perfectly and was not rushed. You will not be disappointed with this purchase. I would like to see more from this couple in the near future.
