Blog Spotlight: Candace Werts

Can you please tell us who is Candace?
I am a wife, mother, business owner and first time author. My passion is in writing Erotica Romance for the adult community.

What was your inspiration behind Made to Love?
Made to Love came to me in a dream, that is how I met Carmen Williams and Cooper Jackson. Made to Love was written for people who love reading Erotica Romance and it is important for me to feature multicultural characters in a positive light. The world is full of all ethnicities, races and cultures and it is time for them to shine in books.

What do you wish more people knew about the publishing side of things?
From my experience, it is extremely important to learn about the process of having your book published. I would also advise people to fully research any publishing company that is interested in your books. There are a lot of people running scams, stating that they will provide services but they do the bare minimum and use free sites. If they are a legit publishing company they will have their own printer and not use CreateSpace. I had to learn the hard way that CreateSpace is used by independent authors, not publishing companies.

What would you consider your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is showing the younger generation in my family that with hard work and will power you can achieve anything.

Do you have a philosophy by which you live?
Always believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams.

What type of legacy would you like to leave for your readers?
The legacy that I would like readers to be left with is that I worked hard to lead the change in providing positive images of diverse characters. And encouraged others to continue to follow their dreams even when others said no. I continued to push through the negatives to provide enjoyable content for true romantics out there.

How important was a "platform" in selling your books?
My platform is extremely important to me. As an African American female, there are many negative stereotypes out there about us. We are not all loud, angry, need meaningless sex and a man in our lives to complete us. We are strong, positive females who are educated and out to make a difference in the world. I also wanted to show that despite coming from different backgrounds and beliefs, that true love can be held by all and love is colorblind.

Do you have book signings coming up where readers can meet you?
I have several upcoming book signings, to find out more about future books and events I will be attending, please follow my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/cnbookseries

Can you tell us about your upcoming project(s)?
‘Made to Love’ is a part of The Made Series, which consists of three books. I decided to create The Made Series, because while reading books you love the main characters but you always want to know what happens to their friends. You have developed a special bond with them and in my series the readers will get to be a part of each girl’s life.
I have completed the second book and currently working on book three. After The Made Series is complete, I have a few ideas for other books.

What advice do you have to an aspiring author?
Be encouraged and keep writing.

More about the author:
Candace Nicole Werts, is a female author with a passion in writing Erotica Romance for the entertainment of the adult community. Becoming author has always been a dream of hers and it became reality with the creation of The Made Series.
Due to the lack of books that feature interracial couples, it was exciting for Candace to write a series featuring multicultural characters. These stories contain fashion, friendship, love, and the finest things that life can offer. The Made Series are based on three best friends and the trials they face once love enters their lives.
Her first book, “Made to Love” features the enchanting Carmen and dashing Cooper. The book release date was April 26, 2014.

Synopsis:
After Carmen’s sister violent death, her heart is closed off to love. Can Cooper forget the past? Are they made to love or will this too end in tragedy?

His hand is extended in front of me and I nervously accept. Usher’s “I Wanna Make Love in This Club booms through the speakers. That’s my cue. We start in a slow dance at first, facing one another, my hands are around his neck, his are located on my hips. This song is definitely setting the mood. I switch positions and turn around, placing my rear directly in front of his crotch.  Working my way down to the floor, turning my head to see Cooper’s face, and then back up again; stopping at his center while grinding gently against him. We are in tune with the melody and each other. I can feel his hardness press firmly against me. He growls and with the slight pull of my hair, brings my ear to his mouth.
“It’s time to go.”
My vagina is pulsating. I can’t wait to get home!

Review: Niya 2: Dreamer's Paradise

Niya 2: Dreamer's Paradise
Niya 2: Dreamer's Paradise by Fabiola Joseph

My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Sometimes you can show the one you love everything you have inside of you and it is still not good enough.

Niya 2 picks up right where part 1 left off. Jamilla is still unsure of her sexual preference and frankly, Niya is getting tired of it. After persistence from Niya’s grandmother, Niya and Jamilla packs up and start anew. Niya thinks with Jamilla away from everything common, she would finally open up and submit to her. How wrong was she? As the saying goes, what one won’t do, another will. When a new girl comes on the scene…things take a turn. Will Jamilla finally open up and allow Niya in? Will Niya move on? You have to one-click to see where this new adventure takes you.

The author has once again brought readers into an emotional tale of passion, love and heartache. Ms. Joseph has developed the characters even more so that any reader, regardless of their sexual preference, can relate to the heartache that is being suffered. At times, you will find yourself ready to smack Jamilla and other times, ready to smack Niya. The story ended in a way that you know there will be a part 3. I just hope Jamilla realizes what she has in Niya before she is gone.

AUTHORS: Your Rockin’ Red Hot Media Room

Did you know that second only to your blog the media room should be the most updated page on your web site? When was the last time you updated your media room? For most of us it’s probably been a while. We tend to put up media rooms and then forget about them. But more and more a good, informative media room should be consistently updated. We’ve found through research, reading, and our own experiences that often it’s not just the media that visits this page, that’s why the term “media room” is a bit misleading. It’s actually a great place to inform, entertain, and educate your reader on you, your books, your message or product, and the things you’ve been up to and often it’s the first place a prospective buyer will go to to get more information on your and your work.

In order to compete in the digital age, more and more authors are turning to their media rooms to attract readers to their book. Why? Well it’s a great one-stop-shop place to get all the latest data on your books, new editions, new products and new speaking events (should you decide to list them).

The old way of doing media rooms was to have a list of your press releases, maybe a link or two to media and that was that. Now media rooms are almost the nerve center of your entire web site. Here’s a quick run down of what should (and shouldn’t) be in your media room. Keep in mind that components of a media room will vary depending on your topic, genre and focus so if you can’t include all of these that’s ok. Better to have only those components related to your book/product/topic than ones that don’t make any sense at all:

  1. Downloadable picture of your book cover or covers, your photo and any other related artwork you want to offer.
  2. About You: People want to know who you are, so tell them! Make sure your bio is on the media room and ready to download. It’s especially helpful if a media person is trying to gather information for an article and wants some background on you.
  3. Press releases with live links: A few issues back we wrote that live links in a press release are a great way to get traffic back to your site but guess what? It works well in reverse too. News posted to your site gets spidered very quickly so including links and keywords will greatly enhance the visibility of both the media room and your press release. In fact another quick tip is this: instead of placing ads, issue a press release. No kidding. Press releases are a far better alternative than an ad on the Internet. You’ll get spidered, you’ll get ranking and best of all, you’ll get traffic. In a future issue we’ll take another look at optimizing a press release so if this is confusing, sit tight – we’ll go more into this in detail later!
  4. New book/product information: This is the perfect place for sharing past, current, and future information on your book. Be boastful! This is your chance!
  5. Tip sheets: We all know that the media loves tip sheets but guess what? Your readers/consumers do too. Fill your press room with any that you’ve created.
  6. Where you’ve been featured: Be very generous with this. Don’t assume that if you have only been featured online that you should not list that. List everything! The more you can populate this room with links that make you look like the busy marketing person you are, the more attractive you’ll be to your buyer and to the media.
  7. Ideas for stories: If a reporter is perusing your site looking for story ideas, why not give it to them? Creating a pop up box that says “Here’s how (insert your name) can help you with your story” is a great way to generate ideas for the media and get yourself a mention in an upcoming story or feature.
  8. Bragging rights! If you have testimonials or reviews, place them here too. While it’s always good to sprinkle testimonials/reviews throughout your site this is another great place to list them. Regardless of whether the visitor to your media room is the media or a reader, people like what other people like!
  9. No hunting allowed! Don’t make people hunt for information. The other day I was on a site looking for book pricing. I had to send an email to get a list of pricing, and why? Because it was confidential? Doubtful. But most people don’t think to remove the extra steps. Shorten the staircase. Meaning: remove needless steps to the close. Put pricing, information sheets, whatever you have up on your media room so folks don’t have to go on a hunting expedition for it.
  10. Events: I took events off of my web site a long time ago. Why? Because I do so much pop up stuff that I had a hard time keeping up with it. There’s nothing worse than an outdated events page but if you can keep yours up, great! Keep it current; the activity will look great on your media room.

A few final tips: Don’t even consider cramming all of this information onto your site if you’re not going to deliver this in pop up form. Check outhttp://www.amarketingexpert.com/media.html for an example of this. (depending when you click on this you might see different information, our media room is being updated *again* as you read this). Also, deliver your text content in both PDF format as well as in text format so the search engines can spider it.

Don’t limit yourself to the items mentioned above, experiment with other media room ideas that might not be listed here. Book videos for example might be another great addition to your media room. The key is, start thinking of your media room as a place to present yourself not just to the media, but to the world! This will change how you view this very important page on your site and help turn a ho-hum page into a rockin’ red hot media room!

CHAPTER VI
~THE COCKTALE BAR~

It took Bren no time to find the Cocktale Bar since it was only a few doors down from the sex lounge entrance. A tall topless redhead greeted her at the door, grabbed her by the hand, and led her to a lounge chair with a menu resting in it.
"Hello, my name is Red, and I’m so glad that you’ve chosen the Cocktale Bar as your sexual experience for tonight. Right in this chair is a menu for you to carefully look over. I'll come back in a few minutes to take your order."
"Thank you Red. I shouldn't take long, but before you go, can I ask you a quick question? And you don’t have to answer if you don’t want, but are those real? Your breasts I mean... they are just...so unbelievably perky."
She bent down in front of Bren and dangled her breasts.
"You tell me if they're real or not. Go ahead, give them good feel and tell me what you think."
Bren accepted the invitation and massaged and squeezed Red's breasts like she was molding play-dough.
"Oh yea they're real alright. These are most definitely real… and soft too."
Bren gave the left tit one last squeeze before letting her server go.
"Let's see what's on the Cocktale menu for the night. Hmmm, this one sounds interesting. The Earthquake is caramel, thick and seven inches... nah I most definitely need more than that! NEXT!"
She ran her index finger down the row of options shaking her head. They were either thick and super short on the inches, or long but too thin. What she needed was a beast… someone who was long, thick, and experienced… someone who would make her slip in and out of consciousness.
"The Savior... chocolate, extremely thick... eleven and half inches... the multiple orgasms and squirt king? Hey Red I'm ready!"
"What are you having tonight?"
"I'll be ordering The Savior please and thank you."
"Ma'am I must warn you, many women have left here granted, on their own, but bleeding, limping and hunched over from excruciating pain and well others left in an ambulance. He is freakishly huge in width and length and once he's in there, he has no mercy. The way he has women screaming you'd think they were giving birth, not having sex."
Oh my god is she serious?! Bren pull yourself together, you are grown ass woman! You can handle some dick Chile.
"Um I'm good. He's the one that needs to be worried."
"Okay ma'am if you wish. Mr. Savior will be with you shortly."
Now Bren was nervous. Red had her second guessing her decision in selecting The Savior, and she never in all of her sexual active life, EVER been scared of a penis. Hell she's been fucking since she was twelve years old. After that first taste of the forbidden pole, she never turned back and made it her life lesson to learn how to drive men crazy sexually.
Damn Bren you're sweating and shaking like this will be your first time getting fucked. He's not the only one that has sent their lover off wobbly and achy. You know how to put it down too. Remember that...
"Miss, would you like some red or white wine?"
"Huh? Um, I'll prefer to sip on your name all night, and its Bren, not Miss. Thank you Red."
"Red wine it is. I'll have Mr. Savior bring it with him." She gave Bren a nod and went through an unmarked black door.
She was so lost in her thoughts that she didn't notice him standing in front of her. He studied her as she had her head titled back against the headrest with her eyes tightly closed. He ran his eyes from her forehead all the way down to her designer heels. Petite but thick in the right places… she was beautiful and he wanted her...bad.
"Hello Bren, they call me The Savior."
Bren’s eyes shot open and landed on an amazon of a man. He was well over six feet with a six-pack and flawless skin. His eyes are alluring... a soft brown like puddles of milk chocolate. The dimple in his chin was small, but deep. His chest and arms looked solid and his hands looked soft, but strong. She wasn't sure if she'd made the right decision, but based on how her vagina was beating like a heart against the towel she was wearing, she most certainly had. This man was wickedly handsome.
"Nice to meet you Mr. Savior. May I ask how you acquired your name?"
He handed her a glass of red wine and narrowed his eyes.
"You'll find out soon enough. I must warn you though, to reach the highest peak of pleasure... to make it to the very top of ecstasy, you must experience pain, and a lot of it. The Savior is never gentle.
She swallowed so hard that she heard it.
"And Ms. Bren, I have one little simple rule."
She tossed back the last of her wine and handed the glass back to him.
"Oh yea? What's that?"
"You don't cum until I tell you to. If you do otherwise, there will be consequences. Is that understood?
In one smooth motion Savior scooped her off the chair and into his arms. She gasped and wrapped her arms around his neck. He kissed her on hers then carried her off to a dark room with soft music, a variety of lubricants, and a queen sized bed. Lying her down carefully across the bed, he loomed over her; planting two quick, but hard kisses on her throat before standing up. Her thighs were drenched due to so much urgency that she could feel her pussy jumping in excitement. She glared into his stormy eyes as she was barely able to catch her breath from anticipation.
"You’re staring at me like you haven’t eaten in years. What are you about to do to me?"
He let his silk boxers fall to his ankles revealing eleven and a half inches of rock hard pipe.
"I'm about to fuck you like you’ve never fucked Bren. Now open your mouth nice and wide and your legs... open those even wider."

CHAPTER XI
~THE PASSION PIT~

Chassidy paced back and forth in front of the door that read 'P.P. Orgy Central'. Her palms were sweaty and sweat beads danced on her forehead. She couldn't figure out why she was nervous. It wasn't like she was virgin, but at that very moment she felt like one.
Come on Chass, you can do this. What's the big deal? You were so eager to come here and now you're acting like this will be your first time having sex with strangers. Well it will be the first time having sex with more than one at once, but you've ran through so many dildo's in the past months, so what's the difference? You didn't know them either. Hell you even gave them stripper names so you'd feel less guilty pounding yourself out every single night for the past year. God you're pathetic…
"Are you ever going to go in? You’ve been reaching back and forth for the doorknob for the past five minutes." A strange voice asked.
She turned around to find a tall, butterscotch colored man. He was built like a professional body builder with piercing green eyes.
"How do you know what I've been doing? Have you been watching me?" she asked.
"Yes I have, but how could I not?"
That response put a big dumb ass Kool-Aid smile on her face, which she immediately regretted.
"Was that a compliment?"
"It sure was, so what's it going to be Miss Lady?"
"Are you going inside?"
He nodded yes.
"Well then I'm going inside. Lead the way."
Chassidy did a double take when the gentleman opened the door. Everyone was butt ass naked and there were moans coming from every single corner of the room. Her mouth dropped open in awe when she spotted a woman with her legs spread wide with some sort of device holding her pussy lips open. It looked extremely painful, especially because of how the man with her was jamming a dildo that looked at least nine inches long in and out, but from the woman's cooing, it was more so satisfying.
"What you're looking at is called the pussy spreader. You place the black circle around the pussy and take the clothespins and clamp them onto your lover’s pussy lips. You can penetrate them with anything you want; from a dildo to a vibrator to your fingers… a hand even. It's absolutely up to you. Are you interested in trying it? Oh and by the way, my name Jock."
"Hi Jock, I'm Chassidy, but you can call me Chass, and no, I'm most definitely not interested in that."
"No? Is that more of your speed?" He turned her body so that she'd face a large mat in the back of the room.
She couldn't believe her eyes. The way that his asshole was spread, it was like you could look right inside.
"Now that device is called the doggy style locking spreader. Put that bondage gear on your lover and they’ll be locked up like a prisoner. People in here love to get banged out that way. So how about it?" he asked.
The look on her face said hell no, are you fucking insane, so he kept at it.
"What about that couple over there? He’s using the take me thigh cuff system on his partner. The cuffs are Velcro and go around her wrist and her thighs. It’s amazing for rough sex."
"Um, no, I think I'll pass on all of those. I'm more of a traditional fucker you know? I'm not into all of this new freaky stuff. I have nothing but a simple dildo at home."
"Well here in The Passion Pit, we experiment and aim to please. Once you're caught up in unbridled ecstasy, all of your sexual fears and restrictions won't exist."
He gently pulled her closer to him and began to slowly loosen her towel.
She jumped at his touch. His fingers sent electricity through her entire body. They were soft, warm and strong.
Girl I know you are not getting wet from this man simply tugging at this towel... shit... I think I better cross my legs...tightly…
As Jock slid his fingers slowly down her belly she crossed her legs and belted out a nervous laugh.
"You seem very nervous Chassidy… no need to be. A few more drinks in you should relax you a bit. We are not here to hurt you; we’re here to please you. Your mouth would not have to utter one word, your body will tell us everything that you want and need from us. The body speaks boldly and loudly Ms. Chassidy, did you know that?"
Fighting to keep her balance and unable to speak, she just nodded her head yes. It was like his touch stole her voice.
"Chassidy you are a very very beautiful and sexy woman. Surely you know that... don't you?"
He softly kissed her forehead and then all around her face before lingering on her lips.
"What's your favorite number Chassidy?"
She had to find her breath to speak. She was so turned on by him that she couldn't breathe.
"Six...my favorite number is six. Why?"
He snatched the towel off right where she stood and tossed it to the side.
"Because that's how many of us are going to fuck you tonight."

Over in the Sticky Kitty...

Kara and Elation had kicked off a hot and steamy game of alphabet sex. The object of the game was to use your tongue to spell a word beginning with each letter of the alphabet. The longer the word, the better. Whoever came first, lost. Kara had never performed oral sex in the sixty-nine position. She’d always been afraid she would bite some poor dude's dick off if she came too hard. With Elation it was different. She made it seem like eating pussy was an art to be practiced and mastered. Kara had just finished spelling out chocolate when Elation yelled out the next word.
"Delegation!"
Elation's tongue pressed firmly against Kara's clit for every line and loop. After spelling the word she gave the clitoris a little suck.
"Aye, that's cheating!"
"No it's not. That was a period. We can't forget punctuation, now can we?"
"Okay, you play dirty. The next word is elusive."
"I thought we were already playing dirty."
She smacked Kara's ass making it wobble along her face. They made it all of the way to the letter Q before clits swelled and moans escaped. Kara sucked Elation nice and hard before shouting out the next word.
"Quantity!"
They were starting to feel it. Their tongues moved swifter, harder, and driving one another insane while pressing down with each curve of each letter. Kara was bouncing on her lover's face while her lover was thrusting into hers. The heat and the tension had become unbearable; it wasn't long before one of them broke.
"Fuck this shit, I'm about to make you cum all over my face."
Elation plunged two fingers inside of Kara in search of her g-spot. Once located, she wasted no time working her tongue and probing fingers in unison to draw out cries of unrestrained passion.
Kara rode Elation's face like a professional jockey. With every ass smack she'd yell out yes and circle her nipples with her tongue. Elation's aggressive behavior brought out a side in Kara that Jeremy hadn't even seen. She shivered when her pleaser's mouth became a vacuum. She sucked on Kara like she'd been without an ounce of liquid for days, and she was dying to quench her thirst.
"Mmm Elation. You are so good. You are so damn good."
The more she moaned the harder Elation sucked. Her tongue was like an express train to the land of ecstasy that drove Kara to pure unapologetic satisfaction. She screamed and splashed right into Elation's mouth.
"Gotdamn! You are fucking amazing! Whew!"
"Thank you...thank you very much. Come here and taste yourself."
Kara was starting to dig kissing a woman. It was completely different from kissing a man. The lips are softer and sweeter.
"I think I know what I'm going to give my fiancé for his birthday." said Kara.
"And what's that?"
"A threesome. Are you interested?"
"How do you know I'm not a lesbian?" questioned Elation.
"Well if that's the case, you can just fuck me and I'll fuck him." Kara replied.
Elation laughed.
"No, I'm just messing with you. I'm bi-sexual, and if y'all talking good money I'll be there."
"Good, now let me give this pretty kitty a kiss until we meet again."
Elation put her legs above her head.
"Go ahead baby. Do the damn thing."
Kara's inner lesbian wasn't trying to go back into hiding. She wanted to play some more. Kara was freaky, but never this freaky and her new found sexual freedom… she owed it all to Elation. She couldn't wait to see the look on Jeremy's face when she presented him with the idea of being pleased by his future wife and another woman. She really couldn't wait to see the look on Bren's face when she told the whole crew. Kara parted Elation's pussy lips and let her tongue lead the hunt for a final orgasm.

SYNOPSIS
When soccer all-star Jax Avery collides with Dani Hart on his twenty-first birthday, their connection is instantaneous and explosive. For the first time in years, Jax isn’t interested in his usual hit-it and quit-it approach.

But Dani knows better. Allowing herself a night to be carefree and feel the intensity of their attraction won’t change anything when it comes to dealing with a player. So when Jax doesn’t recognize Dani the next time he sees her, it shouldn’t be a total shock. The fact that he’s her new roommate's brother? That’s a shock.

Dani doesn’t regret that night with Jax, just the need to lie about it. Since her roommate has made it clear what she thinks about her brother’s “type” of girl, the last thing Dani wants is to admit what happened.

Jax knows he’s walking a fine line on the soccer team. One more misstep and he’s off the roster, his plans to go pro be damned. Except he can’t seem to care. About anything… except for the one girl who keeps invading his dreams.

Despite Jax’s fuzzy memory of his hot hookup with his sister’s friend, he can’t stay away from her, even if that means breaking his own rules. But there are bigger forces at work–realities that can end Dani’s college career and lies that can tear them apart.

Jax realizes what he’s losing if Dani walks away, but will he sacrifice his future to be with her? And will she let him if he does?

FINDING DANDELION, the second book in the Dearest series, is a stand-alone novel. This New Adult romance is recommended for readers 18+ due to mature content.

EXCERPT
Reid and Ashley disappear as I get lost in his kiss. We stand there while bodies crash around us to the music, and I’m caught against him like a wave breaking on the beach.

I don’t know what possessed me to kiss this guy out of the blue and pretend that we were somehow together. Right now, I’m blaming the three apple martinis. I just couldn’t stand one more interaction with Reid where I stammered like some kind of loser.

Am I imagining it or did I just tell off my ex? It’s hard to think clearly when I’m pressed up against this beautiful creature. I trail my hands up along his tall frame, dipping the tips of my fingers against the hard ridges and planes of his chest. He looks good in clothes, but the thought of what he looks like without anything on does delicious things to my body. I try to burn the sensation of what he feels like into my memory.

When we finally pull back for air, we stop to look at each other. And then we laugh.

“Holy shit.” I put my hand to my mouth, for the first time embarrassed that I’ve been trying to swallow him whole for the last five minutes. “Hi.”

He grins back. “Hi.”

I don’t hear him so much as read his lips, which I can appreciate now that my mouth isn’t sealed against them. His head slants as though he’s pondering some deep thought, like maybe how he spent the last few minutes locking tongues with a crazy girl who doesn’t even know him.

And then my world slows down as I realize who he is.

Holy shit. It’s the sexy guy from the pizza place.

Jax.

I've been writing since first grade and am an English graduate of Michigan State University and always knew I wanted to be an author.  Even in first grade I would write short stories and have an "About the Author" section on the back with my picture drawn and a little about myself.  A few years after my first job out of college, I received the call to the ministry and right after graduating from Bible school I was led to write my first book which is about the challenges and triumphs of three friends (all on different spiritual levels) waiting to be found by love entitled, He's Fine...But is He Saved?  I wanted to write something that I, my friends and other like-minded women can relate to.  I've been writing about "boys" and relationships since first grade so I guess several years later I still do :)

What do you wish more people knew about the publishing side of things?
I wish more people knew that while writing a book is an art form, publishing it is a business and requires a lot of hard work. Many think once they write a book they will automatically sell a million copies without any real effort.  Writing the book is actually the easy part, publishing it is where the real work comes in and just because you may get signed with a major publishing house doesn't mean you're not expected to do the work and promote the book.

What would you consider your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment, to me, is perseverance.  I continue to follow my dreams and God-given purpose no matter what and I don't plan on stopping any time soon.

Do you have a philosophy by which you live?

The philosophy I live by is actually a Scripture found in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.

What type of legacy would you like to leave for your readers?
I would like to leave a love legacy - meaning I would like them to know God loves them, no matter their mistakes and no matter their past, God loves them and that God is love.  God's love does not discriminate and He only wants us to do His will according to His Word because He wants what's best for us and He wants us to be blessed with the best.  As a result of whatever I write I want the reader to draw closer to God and flourish in their personal relationship with Him.

How important was a "platform" in selling your books?
A platform is important in that it gives the media a focal point, thus allowing for more media exposure in the form of radio and TV interviews.  I was my publicist, Pam Perry's first fiction client - she was hesitant at first to take me on as a client because she wasn't quite sure of my platform since I had authored a novel.  However when I advised her my platform was abstinence until marriage, she was able to use that to assist in media hits.  No matter what I write, whether self-help books, novels or songs - they all have the same message...abstinence until marriage is the best way to go in relationships.

Do you have book signings coming up where readers can meet you?
?  I just had a release party for my new novel, She That Findeth, here in Detroit which was a great success and I appeared at a Christian Film Festival here locally as well.  Other than that for my out of town readers I am available for a "ladies night out" video chat session upon request at http://www.kimontheweb.com/book-clubs and I can be found online all over the web.

Can you tell us about your upcoming project(s)?
More books and songs.  My newest release is a novel entitled, She That Findeth which is about what happens when a 35-year-old single woman gets tired of waiting on God to send her a husband and sets out to find one on her own.

What advice do you have to an aspiring author?

Whatever you’re working on, finish it. Don’t let your book idea remain an image inside your head, write it. Set time aside to work on your book. Just like we schedule work time or exercise time or dinner time, set aside time to write and work toward it until you’re done.

Set a tentative deadline for your release date, and before your book even comes out start talking about the subject you write about on social media while positioning yourself as an expert – this way it won’t be a surprise when your book comes out, and if others follow you because they like what you’ve been sharing, then more than likely they will buy your book.

Remember, writing the book is the easy part, the real work comes during efforts to get your book out to the masses.

About the Book

Ten years of believing, yet still no husband in sight for Shenita Love. The Bible does say “Wait on the Lord,” which, for Shenita, means waiting for God to deliver her a soul mate. Then again, God helps those who help themselves.

On her thirty-fifth birthday, Shenita’s fear of never starting a family has reached a fever pitch. Her trusty “rule book”—filled with guidelines for dating—simply isn’t cutting it. Soon Shenita is signing up for online dating sites, hitting on men at sporting events, and putting herself out there in ways she never imagined.

When Shenita stops playing by the book and takes matters into her own hands, she finds anything can happen.

Meanwhile, her closest friends are struggling with their own issues of sexuality, acceptance, divorce, insecurity, and financial strain. Always the faithful shoulder to lean on, Shenita wants to be there for them, but her desire to find a man leads her to an unforeseeable circumstance. A place where she must examine her relationship with God and reconsider her priorities.
