Will she submit to his desires?

Eric’s only reason for returning to his hometown is to care for his recently orphaned nephew. He knew the return would involve dredging up his past with family and friends, but he didn’t expect a lone girl to capture his interest and offer an escape within his new life.

Will his binds be enough to keep her?

I have the privilege of interviewing the author of Bound and Unbroken.  Check out what Skye had to say!

Can you please tell us who is Skye Callahan.
I’ve been coming up with stories for as long as I can remember, and until recently they were usually had a strong paranormal influence. I took a break from the paranormal to write Bound and Unbroken. When I’m not spending time with the voices in my head, I work as an independent consultant for Jamberry Nails and hang out with my husband and our ferrets.

What inspired you to write your first book?
I’ve always just felt the constant need to write, with characters and scenarios that randomly appear in my head. I don’t even remember when I started writing, sometime in elementary school. A few years ago, I finished my first novel-length manuscript, and it’s still sitting on my hard drive.

What do you wish more people knew about the publishing side of things?
That it’s a business, and if you’re self-publishing, you have to approach it like a business—setting up a marketing plan, business plan, and connecting with the experts and service providers who can help you make the best of your product.

How did you come up with your titles?
They either pop in my head while I’m writing or I brainstorm a bunch of words until something stands out.

What author(s) has influenced your writing style?
I grew up reading R.L. Stine’s Fear Street Saga and a lot of Christopher Pike, they were my first big influences. More recently, I’ve been influenced by Deborah Harkness, Chloe Neill, Kat Richardson…. I could probably just keep naming people since I pick up little bits from everything I write.

How important was a "platform" in selling your books?
I’m a big supporter of creating a platform—just like any business authors need a consistent way to market themselves, even when writing in multiple-genres.

Do you have book signings coming up where readers can meet you?
I just signed up to participate at BooksCon (http://bokscon.com) in Cleveland on May 31.

Can you tell us about your upcoming project(s)?
I have plans for at least 3 new books. Wild Guardian (Paranormal Romance), Beyond the Divide (Paranormal UF, sequel to Fractured Legacy,  and the yet to be titled sequel to Bound and Unbroken. I’ll announce release dates when they’re closer to completion.

What advice do you have to an aspiring author?
Get started—pick up the pen or sit down at the keyboard and use every chance you get to write about anything that crosses your mind. Get started—pick up the pen or sit down at the keyboard and use every chance you get to write about anything that crosses your mind.
Then, find a group of writing friends to support your journey. You need a group of people who will give you honest advice and feedback on your work, be around to remind you to stay on track, and listen when you really need to vent.

More About the Author
Skye Callahan has been coming up with stories for as long as she can remember, and by elementary school she was writing them down to share with friends and teachers. Ghosts and vampires were always her favorite beings to write about and those interests led to her debut novella Fractured Legacy in 2013. With Bound and Unbroken, her characters led her on a departure from the paranormal world and into the realm of BDSM romance.

When she isn’t spending time with the voices in her head, she works to help other women design their own style of freedom as a consultant for Jamberry Nails, and spends time with her Husband and ferrets.
