Blog Spotlight: Candace Werts

Can you please tell us who is Candace?
I am a wife, mother, business owner and first time author. My passion is in writing Erotica Romance for the adult community.

What was your inspiration behind Made to Love?
Made to Love came to me in a dream, that is how I met Carmen Williams and Cooper Jackson. Made to Love was written for people who love reading Erotica Romance and it is important for me to feature multicultural characters in a positive light. The world is full of all ethnicities, races and cultures and it is time for them to shine in books.

What do you wish more people knew about the publishing side of things?
From my experience, it is extremely important to learn about the process of having your book published. I would also advise people to fully research any publishing company that is interested in your books. There are a lot of people running scams, stating that they will provide services but they do the bare minimum and use free sites. If they are a legit publishing company they will have their own printer and not use CreateSpace. I had to learn the hard way that CreateSpace is used by independent authors, not publishing companies.

What would you consider your greatest accomplishment?
My greatest accomplishment is showing the younger generation in my family that with hard work and will power you can achieve anything.

Do you have a philosophy by which you live?
Always believe in yourself and never give up on your dreams.

What type of legacy would you like to leave for your readers?
The legacy that I would like readers to be left with is that I worked hard to lead the change in providing positive images of diverse characters. And encouraged others to continue to follow their dreams even when others said no. I continued to push through the negatives to provide enjoyable content for true romantics out there.

How important was a "platform" in selling your books?
My platform is extremely important to me. As an African American female, there are many negative stereotypes out there about us. We are not all loud, angry, need meaningless sex and a man in our lives to complete us. We are strong, positive females who are educated and out to make a difference in the world. I also wanted to show that despite coming from different backgrounds and beliefs, that true love can be held by all and love is colorblind.

Do you have book signings coming up where readers can meet you?
I have several upcoming book signings, to find out more about future books and events I will be attending, please follow my Facebook Page: www.facebook.com/cnbookseries

Can you tell us about your upcoming project(s)?
‘Made to Love’ is a part of The Made Series, which consists of three books. I decided to create The Made Series, because while reading books you love the main characters but you always want to know what happens to their friends. You have developed a special bond with them and in my series the readers will get to be a part of each girl’s life.
I have completed the second book and currently working on book three. After The Made Series is complete, I have a few ideas for other books.

What advice do you have to an aspiring author?
Be encouraged and keep writing.

More about the author:
Candace Nicole Werts, is a female author with a passion in writing Erotica Romance for the entertainment of the adult community. Becoming author has always been a dream of hers and it became reality with the creation of The Made Series.
Due to the lack of books that feature interracial couples, it was exciting for Candace to write a series featuring multicultural characters. These stories contain fashion, friendship, love, and the finest things that life can offer. The Made Series are based on three best friends and the trials they face once love enters their lives.
Her first book, “Made to Love” features the enchanting Carmen and dashing Cooper. The book release date was April 26, 2014.

Synopsis:
After Carmen’s sister violent death, her heart is closed off to love. Can Cooper forget the past? Are they made to love or will this too end in tragedy?

His hand is extended in front of me and I nervously accept. Usher’s “I Wanna Make Love in This Club booms through the speakers. That’s my cue. We start in a slow dance at first, facing one another, my hands are around his neck, his are located on my hips. This song is definitely setting the mood. I switch positions and turn around, placing my rear directly in front of his crotch.  Working my way down to the floor, turning my head to see Cooper’s face, and then back up again; stopping at his center while grinding gently against him. We are in tune with the melody and each other. I can feel his hardness press firmly against me. He growls and with the slight pull of my hair, brings my ear to his mouth.
“It’s time to go.”
My vagina is pulsating. I can’t wait to get home!
